In order to do this, we simply migrated across the SEO features of the site to the new design, and tested for any impact after deployment. Steve Gunn was so delighted with the result, that he soon asked as to provide some additional SEO services for him. Since undertaking the project we have quickly managed to compound and consolidate much of the work done by the previous vendor, including bringing numerous additional first page Google results and achieving many new first place results in the major search engines.The search engine results achieved by the previous vendor were pretty good, and Steve had at least one cherished first place position in Google as well as numerous good first page Google results. Among Steve's chosen key phrases, although there is often no great volume of competition, the majority of the big players for these keywords are some of those particular web directories which box well above the weight of such a small site. By identifying the few weaknesses in this directory's SEO strategy, and deploying our own SEO strategy accordingly, we were often able to knock this competitor off pole position, or at very least to push right behind it on the second or third result on the search engines' first page, on a number of key phrases.
