Currency converter - calculate exchange rates for foreign currency

Find the Exchange Rates For ...

Check the exchange rate for over 50 world currencies

Calculate Exchange Rates For Foreign Currency

All our prices are quoted in British Pounds (£). You can use the real-time currency converter above to calculate an estimated cost to you in your own currency for most major currencies; including American Dollars to British Pounds (USD to £), Euros to British Pounds (€ to £), Australian Dollars to British Pounds (AUD to £), Canadian Dollars to British Pound (CAD to £), Chinese Yuan to British Pounds (RMB to £) and many more. This universal currency converter calculates how much foreign currency you get for your money, the exchange rate and even shows you whether the rate is up or down since yesterday and how much the exchange rate has changed by. To use the currency calculator, simply select the currency you are converting from and the currency you are converting to, type in the amount and click on the Convert button.

It really does pay to know what some of the major exchange rates are when doing business internationally, since monitoring changes in the value of the Pound against your currency, or any other currency against yours, should be influencing your decisions about what to buy from which countries when shopping on the Internet. Where a currency is weak you can obtain goods and services more cheaply, and when it is strong your purchases will be more costly.

You can of course also use this foreign currency conversion tool for working out the exchange rate when going on holiday or for an overseas trip to find out how much currency you will get for your money when abroad and as a way to research potential cheap holiday destinations. This is also a useful tool for calculating what your USD Adsense earnings amount to in your own currency.

Forex Trading: Learn how to trade on the currency market and become a Forex broker

Many fortunes have been won and lost trading on the currency market. The principle of currency trading (also known as "Forex trading") is simply buying while a currency is weak and selling when it is strong; however, there are numerous foreign currency trading experts ("Forex brokers") in the field who have developed sophisticated foreign currency trading techniques in order to make money, and plenty who share their knowledge in books upon the subject which are invaluable guides to getting started with trading in currency and becoming a Forex trader.

Exchange Rate Conversion Formula

Amount of currency exchanged from: F
Amount of currency exchanged to: T
Exchange rate: R

To calculate the exchange rate use the following formula:

F/T = R

For instance, if $15 Dollars (F) buys me £10 (T), I divide 15/10 to get the exchange rate of 1.50 for Dollars to British Pounds.

To calculate how much foreign currency you get for your money use the following formula:

F*R = T

For instance, if I have $25 (F) to convert into Euros and the exchange rate is 0.8 (R), I multiply 25 by 0.8 to get 20 Euros.
