Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service

Fire Cover for Derbyshire is provided by Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service which is governed by Derbyshire Fire Authority. This Authority consists of 20 Councillors, 15 from Derbyshire County Council and 5 from Derby City Council. The Fire Authority is a separate entity and is responsible for setting the level of revenue funding and the costs incurred in running a 'front line service'.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service consists of 20 fire and rescue stations in Leciestershire and Rutland, and provides a wide range of emergency cover including domestic and industrial fires, water rescue and flooding, hazardous substance incidents and more. The service also undertakes educational with a view to the prevention of the above incidents.
